The Ontario SPCA identifies Humane Education as one of its priorities. The Ontario SPCA SD&G Animal Centre aims to support this by being actively involved in our community through the promotion of humane education in our schools, Guide and Scout groups as well as any other group concerned about the welfare of animals.

Education is one of the key ways that we can prevent cruelty. It helps ensure that all animals receive the respect that they deserve and allows them to be a positive and helpful addition to our lives, families and communities.

The SD&G Animal Centre offers a two-day educational Camp Bark during March Break.

In July and August we also offer a one week camp for children 7 to 12 years of age. (Camps are split by age groups.)
